TGI FRIDAYS, a globally recognized American dining brand, has been present in Taiwan for over 30 years. Today, it operates 18 locations across northern, central, and southern Taiwan.
Texas Roadhouse, established in the U.S. nearly three decades ago, entered the Taiwan market in 2014 with its first location in Taipei. The brand has since grown to seven restaurants across Taipei, Taoyuan, Hsinchu, Taichung, and Shanghai.On the proprietary brand front, the Group operates two original concepts in the Hong Kong market — Dan Ryan’s Chicago Grill and Amaroni’s New York Italian — with a total of five restaurants currently in operation.
In 2022, the Group launched its first fully self-developed brand, LillA, a new-style American restaurant inspired by Californian cuisine and influenced by diverse global flavors, offering a fresh take on West Coast dining culture.
In 2024, Casual Restaurants Inc. was officially listed on the Taiwan OTC market. The first new brand to launch following the listing was Taylor Butchery, introduced in March 2025, marking the Group’s expansion into the premium retail sector.
In 2025, the Group officially acquired SALT&STONE, a “New American” dining brand known for its modern interpretation of Californian cuisine, and has since accelerated its expansion strategy to bring a wider range of dining experiences to consumers.
In 1991, Taiwan became home to Asia’s first TGI FRIDAYS, marking the beginning of a brand presence that has lasted over three decades. In August 2014, Casual Restaurants Inc. took over the operation of TGI FRIDAYS Taiwan, the largest American casual dining brand in the market.
Following this milestone, the Group introduced Texas Roadhouse — the largest steakhouse chain in the United States, with nearly 30 years of history — opening its first Taiwan location in Taipei in 2014.
In 2016, Casual Restaurants Inc. expanded into the Hong Kong market through the acquisition of Windy City Restaurant Group, securing full ownership of the Dan Ryan’s Chicago Grill and Amaroni’s New York Italian brands.
In 2022, the Group launched its first original concept in Taiwan — LillA — a new American dining brand offering a fresh interpretation of Southern California-inspired cuisine, delivering an unprecedented dining experience in the local market.
In November 2024, Casual Restaurants Inc. was officially listed on Taiwan’s Over-the-Counter (OTC) market.
In 2025, the Group welcomed Taylor Butchery , marking its first entry into the high-end retail sector.
In June 2025, the Group officially acquired SALT&STONE, located in Taipei 101, and launched a second location at Nangang LaLaport. Through a multi-brand, multi-format strategy, Kaiten Dining Group continues to expand its operational scale and strengthen its market presence.
